SthaviraNagasena resides on a major mountain in Rajgriha along with his retinue of 1200 Arhats. He holds a vase in his left hand and a mendicant’s staff in his right hand.He was born in a Kshatriyaroyal family in North India in a city called Vikshama Nagar.He was apprehensive about the unwholesome activities he may have to engage in if he assumed his royal responsibilities. He renounced his royal life. He received his Bhikshu ordination from the Buddha when the latter was 55 years old.
